Archlord is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG that allows a single player to become the ruler of the server: the Archlord! Play as one of three races and eight classes to defeat your opponents and claim the throne. Archlord was originally a subscription based game but is now Free to Play.
Archlord used to be a pay to play game, but Codemasters recently removed the subscription and made Archlord free to play but supported by a cash shop. After playing Archlord, it becomes clear that Lineage II was the Archlord's source of inspiration. Players have three race choices: Human, Orc, and Moon Elf. The Human and Orc races each have three classes. Humans can be either a fighter, archer, or mage. Orcs can either be a berserker, hunter, or sorcerer. The final race, the Moon Elf, have two class choices: Ranger and Elementalist. Same old routine You can customize your character a little by selecting several different hair styles and faces, but for a 3D game, the customization is severely lacking. Fortunately, once you enter the game you won't be bogged down by a lengthy tutorial. The NPCs you start near will have quests available, some of which involve running from one NPC to another and listening to them explain their role. Be sure accept the kill quests before heading out of town. Auto-attcking Combat in Archlord is straight forward: you double click your target and watch your character auto attack it. Once you are a higher level you can assign skills to the number keys and use them as you fight. Hunting monsters in Archlord is not the game's main appeal; its unique PvP system is. On each server, one player can claim the title of Archlord which gives him almost God like powers. The Archlord can control night and day, the weather, and can send sever wide messages. In order to claim and hold this position, a player must survive and prosper in the open PvP environment. While many areas are open to PvP, killing innocent players is discouraged through the rogue point system which limit your access to towns if accumulated. Anyone interested in a PvP oriented free MMORPG should check Archlord out. from: MMO life network
