Face of Mankind is a 3d Sci-Fi MMORPG with first and third person views. Face of Mankind focuses on community driven content with an emphasis on role playing. Players can rise to lead powerful factions which effect the game’s ongoing story development. Face of Mankind was originally released in 2006 but was shut down in June 2008 and is set to relaunch soon.
Face of Mankind has had an interesting history. Originally released in 2006 after a long beta period, the game was shut down in late 2007 only to be revived as Face of Mankind: Rebirth. Less than a year later, Rebirth was canned. Face of Mankind is ready for another launch soon with a mixed free to play / pay to play model. Basic accounts will be free but will not give players full access to all game features. Face of Mankind is a very different sort of MMORPG. A sci-fi game that stresses role playing and community interaction over fast paced action. The extant to which players ’shape’ the game universe is truly remarkable, all aspects of the economy are player driven. All items must be bought, sold, or crafted by other players.
