”MLB Dugout Heroes” is a free-to-play online baseball game that allows players to create and play with their own teams, composed of real life MLB players. Gameplay is simple but fun, and the game features RPG-like leveling up and equipment.
 

Gameplay functions very similarly to the “MLB Power Pros” series. Players bat by moving a cursor with their mouse and left-clicking, and pitch by selecting a pitch and left-clicking to start, then stop, a power and accuracy meter. Unlike most other baseball games, “Dugout Heroes” offers no control of fielding, and fielding is performed entirely by the CPU.
 

Playing games earns players and the team experience, and both can level up, increasing stats and abilities. In addition, players can earn “Nuts,” which allow them to purchase equipment (bats, gloves, glasses, etc.) for their players, items to offer in-game boosts, or draft cards which enable them to sign players from the 2009 MLB season to their club.
